Liz Piselli enters her first season as an assistant lacrosse coach at C.W. Post, bringing high-level Division I and national team experience to Megan McNamara’s coaching staff. She joins the team after her recent stint as head coach of the Long Island Pride Lacrosse Club girls' eighth grade team.
“I am extremely excited to have Liz join our staff,” says McNamara about Piselli. “Her experiences and level of play at Stanford and for the national team will help our team get to the next level. Her enthusiasm fits right in here at C.W. Post, and she’s going to bring a lot to our program.”
Piselli, a 2007 graduate of Stanford University, was a four year letter-winner and senior captain for the Cardinal, and finished her career third all-time in the record books with 101 draw controls. She was also named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Conference and All-Tournament teams, capping off a senior season that saw Stanford capture its third consecutive MPSF Conference championship.
The Rockville Centre, N.Y. native graduated from South Side High school in 2003, after earning All-America notice her junior and senior seasons. She was also a member of the Under-19 United States National Team.
Piselli received her degree in Bachelor of Arts in American Studies in 2007.
