Head women’s lacrosse coach Meghan McNamara announced the addition of Masina Longo to her staff for the upcoming 2008 season.

Masina Longo returns to C.W. Post, where she played from 2002 to 2006 and served as team captain her junior and senior seasons.  She also helped the Pioneers to the NCAA semifinals in 2003, 2004 and 2006.  During her final season in 2006, Longo tallied 23 goals with six assists.

“I’ve had the pleasure of coaching Masina, and I’m so happy that she’s joining our staff here at Post,” said McNamara.  “Her familiarity with the program will be a big asset, and she is going to help continue the tradition of success.  It’s great to have her back.”

Upon graduating from C.W. Post, Longo coached field hockey at Bay Shore High School and served as a varsity lacrosse coach at Islip in 2007.  She is a current member of the Long Island Lady Lizards lacrosse team.

Longo received her bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education in 2006 and is currently working as a substitute teacher in Nassau County.
