Katie Hogan begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach following a memorable three-year career at C.W. Post.

 

Hogan had a successful showing for the Pioneers support ing the midfield position after transferring to C.W. Post from Division I University of Delaware. She made appearances in 55 games during her time at C.W. Post. Hogan netted a total of 144 goals, including 63 her senior year, placing her third on both the all-time career goals list and the all-time single season goals list. She led the Pioneers during her final season in both draw controls (74) and caused turnovers (29).

 

Hogan’s outstanding performance on the field earned her numerous accolades, including First Team IWLCA All-North Region, and First Team IWLCA All-America and the ECC First Team All-Conference squad all three years in a Pioneers uniform. She was named Inside Lacrosse Pre Season First Team All-America her junior year. Hogan was also honored on the Tewaaraton Trophy "Watch List" prior to her final season and was named IWLCA and Womenslacrosse.com Midfielder of the Year after the conclusion of the 2009 season. Aside from her time at C.W. Post, Hogan has played for the Irish National Team since 2008 and played for the Irish in the 2009 World Cup held in Prague.

 

Hogan obtained her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in May 2009.
