Stephanie Palmeri begins her third season as an assistant coach for the LIU Post women’s swimming program. Palmeri graduated from LIU Post back in May 2009, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education. She also continued her education at Adelphi University, finishing her master's degree in Sports Management in December 2011.

During her days at LIU Post, Palmeri spent four years apart of the swimming team. Not only was she a team captain, but she also Co-President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) during 2008-2009. Palmeri set many individual and team records during her four-year career as a Pioneer and was also an NCAA qualifier in the 1650 Free. 

Honors during her career include CSCAA Academic All-American Honorable Mention (2009), CSCAA Team Academic All-American 2005-2008 and LIU Post Women’s Swim Team Coach’s Award (2008, 2009).

While spending a year away from the LIU Post campus, Palmeri continued her involvement with swimming as an Assistant Men’s & Women’s Swim Coach/Head Lifeguard at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.

Palmeri holds an Initial Certification in New York State for Elementary Education Grades 1-6, while also being certified by the Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer, Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, First Aid.
