Football
John Mohring was an All-American and holds the school records for career sacks (56), season tackles (135 in 1977) and career tackles (439).
He played in the NFL for the Detroit Lions and the Cleveland Browns. He went on to own a landscaping business in Locust Valley for 20 years before moving to Naples, Florida, where he lives with his wife, Trisha. They have three grown children.
