Volleyball
The former Linda Glum was a three-time C.W. Post volleyball captain and team MVP (1980-82) and helped the Pioneers to a top-10 finish nationally in 1982.
She was named the most valuable player of the AIAW’s regional championship that season, and led the 47-5 Pioneers to its fist ever NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
Glum represented the United States on a select collegiate team at Sweden’s Viking Cup, and participated in the 1982 Nationals tourney as a member of “The Windchimes” open-level national team.
She has gone on to become a successful college volleyball coach, as her 21-year career at both Iona (14 seasons) and currently at Central Connecticut has produced 242 victories.
