BRONXVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 16, 2008) – Freshman outside hitter
Laura Maehlmann (Gundelfingen, Germany) tallied 13 kills as C.W. Post cruised to a 3-0 win over Concordia College Thursday evening in East Coast Conference volleyball action at the Meyer Athletic Center. The match scores were 25-16, 25-12 and 25-13.
The match lasted just 55 minutes and improved C.W. Post's season win total to 8-10 overall and 5-5 in conference action. Concordia slips to 2-17 overall with a 0-11 mark in conference play.
The Pioneers recorded a season-high .470 attacking percentage as senior right side hitter
Lucia Krskova (Prievidza, Slovakia) and junior setter
Erica Valeriano (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) tallied 19 and 20 assists, respectively.
On defense, sophomore outside hitter
Lauren Brown (Mount Gilead, N.C.) made 10 digs and added nine kills while junior middle blocker
Kerri Heitner (Wantagh, N.Y.) made 11 digs for the Pioneers.
Freshmen Alicia Oberle and Amanda Margedant each tallied eight kills for the Clippers.
C.W. Post returns to action to host Bridgeport University on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
