Maehlmann Named ECC Rookie Of The Week
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Nov. 3, 2008) – The East Coast Conference released its weekly volleyball report and has selected C.W. Post freshman outside hitter
Laura Maehlmann (Gundelfingen, Germany) as Rookie of the Week.
Maehlmann, who was previously named Rookie of the week on Oct. 20, led the Pioneers with 48 kills and added 34 digs. She averaged 3.20 kills per game and 2.27 digs per game on the week while pitching in with 10 block and seven service aces. She registered a double-double with 16 kills and 13 digs in a winning battle against West Chester and currently has 270 kills on the season.
C.W. Post (13-12, 8-6 ECC) resumes conference play on Nov. 4 at Adelphi University.
