BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 5, 2008) – C.W. Post swept 11 events and defeated Queens College, 107-86, in women's swimming action Wednesday evening at the Pratt Recreation Center Natatorium.
Senior
Mariel Andersson (Brastad, Sweden) earned an NCAA “B” cut in the 100 backstroke when she placed first with a final time of 59.46 seconds. Junior
Brittany Roman-Green (Woodstock, N.Y.) was second at 1:00.71 followed by junior
Morgan Feliccia (Arnold, Md.) at 1:05.28..
Anderson took first in the 50 free and helped power the Pioneers to a win in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:49.18.
Freshman
Amanda Preston (Newport, R.I.) captured a win in the grueling 1650 freestyle.
Freshman
Marta Kristic (Rego Park, N.Y.) claimed first in the 100 free at 55.38, followed by junior
Dora Biocic (Zagreb, Croatia).
Sophomore
Riley Cassidy (Cambridge, Ontario, Canada) touched the wall first in the 100 fly at 59.40, followed by sophomore
Sofi Mathsson (Stockholm, Sweden) at 1:01.38 and senior
Stephanie Palmeri (Seaford, N.Y.) at 1:02.23.
