Volleyball Lends A Helping Hand In The Fight Against AIDS
BETHPAGE, N.Y. (Dec 16, 2008)- The C.W. Post Volleyball team gave back to their community November 16 as they volunteered their time to help run World Vision Experience: AIDS Exhibit. The World Vision Experience, which was featured at the Arumdaun Presbyterian Church in Bethpage, N.Y. is an effort to take the guest on a journey into the AIDS epidemic in Africa through the eyes of a Child.
The guest is invited to walk through an interactive exhibit as they listen to the story of a real-life child experiencing the disease. At the end of the Experience, guests are invited to show the support and become part of the solution with a donation to help turn the tide on AIDS.
The Pioneers' responsibilities included tasks such as greeting exhibit guests, inputting data in computers, handing out and collecting headphones, and helping to inform guests about how they can help the cause.
