Women's Lacrosse Stays First In IWLCA Poll

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Apr. 1, 2008) – The C.W. Post women's lacrosse team received seven first place votes to stay the top team in the IWLCA/Under Armour Division II National Poll. 

Limestone was second with three first place votes while West Chester moved up to third this week. ECC opponent Adelphi University ascended to fourth while Gannon was fifth. Northeast-10 opponent Stonehill College fell to sixth this week while Lock Haven was picked seventh. Mercyhurst and newcomers Southern New Hampshire and New Haven rounded out the weekly poll. 

The Pioneers, who are also first in this week's InsideLacrosse poll, posted a 3-0 record last week with wins over New Haven, Southern Connecticut and Southern New Hampshire. They will play at St. Thomas Aquinas on Apr. 2 and will host their next home game against Saint Anselm on Apr. 13.
