Wildermuth Added To Volleyball Staff
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Aug. 22, 2008) - C.W. Post women's volleyball head coach Russi Villalta has named former player Emily Wildermuth as an assistant coach.
Says Wildermuth, “I am very excited to be asked to coach at C.W. Post, where I played for four years.”
Wildermuth, a 2006 graduate and former captain, compiled a career resume which included 424 games played, 813 total kills, 101 digs, and 30 service aces. The veteran middle hitter set career-highs in 2005, when she registered 355 kills to go along with 78 blocks.
During her four-year career at C.W. Post, Wildermuth helped lead the team transform from a 9-23 squad her freshman season to a final round appearance in the ECAC Division II Tournament in 2005, and a NCAA Northeast Regional Final appearance in 2006.
Upon graduating from C.W. Post, Wildermuth served as an assistant coach at ECC rival, Molloy College, in 2007 and helped the Lions to a 13-17 – its best season yet.
