Volleyball Makes Clean Sweep Of Molloy, 3-0

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Sept. 25, 2008) – Sophomore outside hitter Lauren Brown (Mount Gilead, N.C.) led all hitters with 13 kills as C.W. Post swept Molloy College, 3-0, in East Coast Conference volleyball action Thursday evening at the Quealy Gymnasium.
The win improves C.W. Post's overall record to 6-7 and 3-2 in the ECC while Molloy drops to 4-9 overall and 1-5 in conference action.
In all, the Pioneers held a 43-19 advantage in kills and took advantage of 20 Molloy miscues.
Senior right side hitter Lucia Krskova (Prievidza, Slovakia) registered 18 assists and 10 digs with three blocks while sophomore setter Amanda Ostapow (East Setauket, N.Y.) contributed 18 assists. Junior setter Erica Valeriano (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) added four service aces and nine digs to the cause.
Freshman outside hitter Angelica Nicalek led the Lions with five kills and seven digs while teammate Danielle Sekesan added 10 digs.
C.W. Post will play at Dowling College on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. The Pioneers will next host Adelphi University on Oct. 2.
