Women's Swimming Falls To TCNJ, 132-91

The C.W. Post Pioneers captured six wins in a 132-91 loss at The College of New Jersey Saturday afternoon. 
 
Junior Brittany Roman-Green (Woodstock, N.Y.) recorded a new personal record and earned an NCAA “B” cut in the 50-yard Freestyle with a final time of 24.44 seconds. Roman-Green also captured a win in the 100 Freestyle when she tapped the wall at 54.00, beating out TCNJ's Traci Hofer by tenths of a second (54.43).
 
Senior Mariel Andersson (Brastad, Sweden) earned her second “B” cut of the season when she cruised to a first-place finish with a final time of 58.91 in the 100 Breaststroke.
 
Pioneers posted a 1-2 finish in the 200 Individual Medley with sophomore Riley Cassidy (Cambridge, Ontario) as the overall winner (2:13.86) followed by sophomore Sofi Mathsson (Stockholm, Sweden) at 2:15.80. Cassidy followed up with narrow win in the 100 Butterfly at 59.35, edging out TCNJ's Laura Pierce who clocked in at 59.43.
 
Roman-Green, Cassidy, Andersson and freshman Marta Kristic (Rego Park, N.Y.) combined to win the 200 Freestyle Relay with a final time of 1:39.26.
 
The Pioneers will swim next at Fordham University on Jan. 23.
