Fordham Defeats Swimming, 119-60

BRONX, N.Y. (Jan. 23, 2009) – The Fordham University women's swimming team claimed 12 wins in a 13-even dual meet versus C.W. Post Friday evening at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.
Junior Caitlin Napoli won two events for the Rams 50 Freestyle and 200 Butterfly. Napoli swam to the wall first in the 500 Freestyle with a final time of 24.94 seconds. She was first in the 200 Butterfly, completing the event with a time of 2:04.70.
Napoli helped the Rams to a win in the 400 Medley Relay with a final time of 3:58.80.
Junior Tressa Dunn captured wins in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Freestyle. In the 200 IM, Dunn tapped the wall first at 2:11.40. She won the 100 Freestyle with a final time of 53.67.
For the Pioneers, senior Mariel Andersson (Brastad, Sweden) won the 200 Backstroke, clocking in at 2:09.55. Junior Brittany Roman-Green (Woodstock, N.Y.) followed a close second at 2:12.61 while sophomore Riley Cassidy (Cambridge, Ontario) placed third at 2:15.57.
C.W. Post is back in action Jan. 31 at Siena College at 1 p.m.
