Weekly Awards Continue For Schmidt, Earns ECAC Co-Player of the Week
CAPE COD, Mass. (Jan. 6, 2008) - The weekly awards continue to pile up for senior guard Jonathan Schmidt (Centereach, N.Y.), who added an ECAC Co-Player of the Week honor to his ECC and PrestoSports/MBWA Player of the Week honors announced yesterday.
Schmidt led the No. 6 Pioneers to a 3-0 week, averaging 24.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. The senior recorded a team-high 25 points against Assumption and followed up with a career-high 35 points in a win over Goldey-Beacom. For the week, Schmidt shot 58 percent from the field and 7-of-18 from three-point range.
The Pioneers will resume action on Saturday, Jan. 10, as they host Concordia in a 3:30 p.m. matchup at the Pratt Recreation Center.
