Swimming Suffers Loss To Siena, 120-84

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 13, 2009) –The Siena College swim team won seven of 11 events to defeat C.W. Post, 120-84, Friday evening at the Pratt Recreation Center.
For the Saints, junior Brittany Pavolko (Pittsfield, Mass.) captured individual wins in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.32) and 100 butterfly (59.73). Pavolko along with Kaela Bjornberg (Wallingford, Conn), Britney Anderer (Nesconset, N.Y.) and Katie Ness (Reading, Pa.) combined to win the 200 medley relay with a final time of 1:50.78.
For C.W. Post, junior Riley Cassidy (Cambridge, Ontario) won two individuals, beginning with the 200 individual medley when she tapped the wall at 2:12.40. Cassidy later won the 100 free at 54.85.
Freshman Kristina Fritsch (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took the win in the 1650 free when she cruised to a first-place finish at 18:29.51.
