Guadagnini Honored As This Week's ECC Player Of The Week
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Nov. 9, 2009) – Junior outside hitter Marilena Guadagnini (Huntington Beach, Calif.) of the C.W. Post volleyball team was selected as this week's East Coast Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Guadagnini led the Pioneers with 27 kills and 30 digs last week. She hit .390 on the week while adding a block and an ace. She scooped up double-digit digs against Mercy and hit .467 with kills. Against Bridgeport, Guadagnini recorded a match-high 19 kills and 20 digs as the Pioneers defeated the Purple Knights in four sets.
C.W. Post (14-13, 8-4 ECC) qualified for the East Coast Conference Championships and will once again face Bridgeport in the semifinal on Friday, Nov. 13 at host Dowling College at 7:30 p.m.
