Swimming Competes At East Stroudsburg Invitational

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (Feb. 7, 2009) – The C.W. Post swimming team participated at the East Stroudsburg Invitational Saturday afternoon along with the University of Bridgeport.
Senior
Stephanie Palmeri led the Pioneers with two wins, beginning with a win in the grueling 1650-yard Freestyle, clocking in at 18 minutes, 33.60 seconds. Freshman
Amanda Preston (Newport, R.I.) followed second and finished at 18:51.09.
Palmeri also captured a win in the 100 Butterfly with a final time of 1:01.55
Freshman
Marta Kristic (Rego Park, N.Y.) won the 50 Freestyle by edging out ESU's Sally Kaminski (25.70) and touching the wall first at 25.65.
The Pioneers gear up to compete at the Metropolitan Championships, to be held at Rutgers University Feb. 20-22.
