Swimming 22nd After Day 2 At NCAA Championships
HOUSTON (March 12, 2009) – The C.W. Post women's swimming team continued competition at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Houston.
In the 200-yard free relay, comprised of senior
Mariel Andersson (Brastad, Sweden), junior
Brittany Roman-Green (Woodstock, N.Y.), sophomore
Riley Cassidy (Cambridge, Ontario) and freshman
#Marta Kristic# (Rego Park, N.Y.), earned points by finishing with a final time of one minute, 36.47 seconds.
Cassidy placed 30th in a field of 51 swimmers in the 100 butterfly, touching the wall at 57.72 and recording a third-best time in the school's program history.

Stephanie Palmeri (Seaford, N.Y.) and junior
Josephine Tjernstrom (Bromma, Sweden) combined to finish 15th overall in the 200 freestyle relay with a final time of 1:36.47.
The Pioneers continue competing at the national meet. Roman-Green swim the preliminary in the 100 backstroke while Cassidy will swim in the 200 butterfly.
