Hogan Named WomensLacrosse.com, Inside Lacrosse Nike Player of the Week
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (April 22, 2009) - The weekly honors continue for Katie Hogan (Farmingdale, N.Y.), who was named ECC Player of the Week earlier this week and has now garnered Player of the Week accolades from womenslacrosse.com and Inside Lacrosse Nike Player of the Week.
Hogan repeats as the Womenslacrosse.com Offensive Player of the Week after scoring 11 goals and adding an assist while averaging four ground balls, three ground balls, and two draw controls over the week. Six of her goals came against No. 6 Lock Haven.
Hogan, who has 48 goals and 15 assists on the season, scored six goals the fifth-ranked Lock Haven, helping to solidify the Pioneers' hold on the No. 2 spot in the NCAA Division II women's lacrosse world, including three straight in the second half that widened a 12-10 lead to a five-goal gap (including the eventual game-winner).
The Pioneers currently boast a twelve-game win-streak, with an overall record to 12-1-0.
C.W. Post is back in action Wednesday, April 22 as they travel to Molloy College for an East Coast Conference match-up at 6 p.m.
