Women's Lacrosse Second In IWLCA Poll

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (April 23, 2009)- The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its weekly poll, as C.W. Post takes the second place slot for the fourth consecutive week. The latest IWLCA ranking comes after a 3-0 week for the Pioneers, including a 18-13 win over No. 4 Lock Haven University. C.W. Post improves to an overall record of 13-1

The Pioneers remain behind undefeated ECC rival Adelphi University. They are followed by Limestone College and Lock Haven University, who each rose one spot in the recent rankings. Mercyhurst dropped two to fifth place, followed by West Chester University and Gannon College who remain unchanged. The University of New Haven and Belmont Abbey College round out the top ten, along with Stonehill College which fell two slots to tenth place.

C.W. Post retakes the field Saturday, April 25, as they travel to take on No. 10 Stonehill College for a 1 p.m. game.
