Hogan Earns ECC Player Of The Week Nods, Olen Tabbed Rookie of the Week 4/27/2009 5:16:21 PM CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (April 27, 2009)- The East Coast Conference released its weekly report, honoring senior midfielder Katie Hogan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) as conference Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, and tabbing freshman midfielder Ashley Olen (East Islip, N.Y.) as Rookie of the Week. Hogan dominated with 11 goals on the week while adding three assists and 14 draw controls. She scored five goals and added two assists, all in the first half of play in a 22-9 win over Molloy. She notched four goals and had seven draw controls in the Pioneers' 18-16 win over No. 10 Stonehill and she added two goals and an assist in a 19-5 win over St. Anselm. Olen was the third-leading scorer on the Pioneers squad in their 3-0 week with eight goals. She scored three goals against No. 10 Stonehill, helping the Pioneers to a 18-16 win. Olen found the back of the net twice and added an assist against Molloy and notched a hat trick against St. Anselm. C.W. Post is back in action May 2nd as it honors its seniors in their final regular season home game. The Pioneers are scheduled to host ECC rival Adelphi University at 1 p.m.Print Friendly Version
