Olen, Lyons Earn ECC Weekly Honors

Samantha Lyons (Farmingdale, N.Y.) was named this week's East Coast Conference women's lacrosse Player of the Week, while freshman midfielder
Ashley Olen (East Islip, N.Y.) earned Rookie of the Week honors.
Lyons led the second-ranked Pioneers with four goals and three assists in a 23-5 win over Bentley. She took five shots, all on goal, and scored on four of those shots for an .800 shot percentage.
Olen scored a game and career-high five goals off the bench to help the second-ranked Pioneers past Bentley, 23-5. She was 1-for-2 in free position shots and picked up two draw controls for C.W. Post in the rout.
The Pioneers are back in action Wednesday, April 8 as they host the University of New Haven at 4 p.m.
