Keeping Up With The Irish National Team
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (June 23, 2009) - Several Pioneers lacrosse alumni and coaches are taking part in the Women's Lacrosse World Cup, being held in Prague, as part of the Irish National Team, currently with a 3-0 record in the games.
Recent graduate
Katie Hogan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) has tallied seven goals and two assists in three games, also picking up five ground balls and five draw controls.
C.W. Post assistant coach Lauren Cohen is tied for the team lead with 11 goals. She's also added six assists and is the team leader in draw controls with 11.
Pioneer head coach
Meghan McNamara is an assistant coach for the team, which is under the direction of head coach and former Pioneer assistant coach Dan Leidl.
Hogan, Cohen and McNamara look to continue their winning ways as they play today at 4 p.m. against the Czech Republic.
