Swimming Outlasted By Fordham, 136-59

– The C.W. Post swimming team won three events but was defeated by Fordham University, 136-59, Friday evening at the Lombardi Center.
 
Freshman Kristina Fritsch (Brooklyn, N.Y.) claimed an individual win in the 1000-yard freestyle, swimming to a first-place finish with a final time of 11 minutes, 07.73 seconds.
 
Freshman Carly Marshall (Cornwall, N.Y.) also had an individual win in the 200 breaststroke, tapping the wall first at 2:36.51. Senior Dora Biocic (Zagreb, Croatia) was a close second, finishing at2:40.31.
 
Senior Brittany Roman-Green (Woodstock, N.Y.), junior Riley Cassidy (Cambridge, Ontario) and freshmen Sandra Kirstein (Hollviken, Sweden) and Cornelia Hanes (Stockholm, Sweden) teamed up in the 200 freestyle relay and beat out three Fordham relay teams, finishing first at 3:41.87.
 
Cassidy captured second place finishes in the 200 individual medley and the 200 butterfly. 
 
Roman-Green was a close second in the 200 backstroke while senior Morgan Feliccia (Arnold, Md.) finished third in the event.
