Men's Basketball And Bridgeport Chosen As Co-Favorites In ECC Preseason Poll

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 14, 2010) – C.W. Post and the University of Bridgeport each earned 58 points to share the top spot in the East Coast Conference Men's Basketball Preseason Poll, as voted on by the conference's head coaches.
Molloy senior forward Brian Hutchinson was tabbed as the Preseason Player of the Year.

C.W. Post received four first-place votes while Bridgeport received three. Queens College received one first-place nod and was third overall with 50 points followed by NYIT, Molloy, Dowling, St. Thomas Aquinas and Mercy.

The Pioneers concluded their 2010-11 season with a 23-6 record, including an 18-3 mark in conference play. C.W. Post advanced to the ECC finals before falling to Bridgeport, 70-61.

Senior forward Aaron Hall (Syracuse, N.Y.) returns as the leading scorer after averaging 16.0 points and six rebounds a game.

C.W. Post returns to the court on Nov. 12 when it faces off against Saint Michael's College as part of the Stonehill College Tournament in Easton, Mass.
