Second Half Comeback Falls Short in the End in Loss to Post, 77-73
WATERBURY, CONN. (Nov. 28, 2010) – C.W. Post men's basketball team fought back from 10 down at the half to tie the game at 62 during the second half. Junior
Billy Butler (Elmont, N.Y.) scored his only two points on the day when he converted two free throws with a little less than seven minutes remaining in the second half to tie the game at 62 for the Pioneers.
C.W. Post then came all the way back to take the lead with 3:14 left in the game as senior
Aaron Hall (Syracuse, N.Y.) sank a free throw to complete a three point play after being fouled on a lay-up, giving the Pioneers a 69-68 lead. Freshman

Eagle senior guard Spencer Smith brought back the lead back to the Post side after putting back a lay-up off his owned missed shot with 45 seconds remaining. Smith was also fouled on the play by Allen, giving the Eagles a two point lead and not looking back. The Post defense then contained the Pioneer counter attack, holding on to complete the victory.
Post grew its lead as large as 13 with 4:45 left in the first half with junior Reginald Holding ending the half at nine points. The Eagles ended the game with four players in double figures, led by Smith's 14 points.
