Coach Ogoshi Announces a Volleyball Signing For 2011
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (November 29, 2010) – Coach
Shellane Ogoshi announced in the past week the signing of student-athlete who will represent the class of 2015 on the C.W. Post women's volleyball team. Heather Adams will be joining the Pioneer squad after enjoying a stellar high school career at Centerville High School in Ohio.
This past fall at Centerville, Adams was named to the First Team in both the All Greater Western Ohio Conference, as well as All District State. She also was a 2010 All State Honorable Mention Team. During the 2010 District All Star Game, she had the most kills for the winning side. In 2009, her team was an Ohio State District Runner Up while being the HSV GWOC Conference Champions under head coach Monte Moser.
Her 185 kills during 2010 ranked second in the GWOC, which is comprised of 18 teams, while hitting .420 on her hitting chances putting her first in the conference. She also ranked first in service aces (38), service percentage, and digs (176) in the conference. Her 89 blocks were also good enough for second in the conference.
“We are very excited to have this young lady be a part of our family and program. She is a very ambitious individual who will be able to offer us depth and versatility on and off the court,” said Coach Ogoshi on Adams.
The daughter of Roger and Karen Adams, Heather will be looking to major in International Business while studying at C.W. Post.
