Hall, Kohler Earn ECC Weekly Honors
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Feb. 23, 2010) – Junior forward Aaron Hall (Syracuse, N.Y.) was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week, and freshman guard #Jonathan Kohler# (Bordentown, N.J.) garnered East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week honors for the sixth time this season, the conference announced Monday.
Hall was on fire this week, averaging 20 points per game on 70.8% shooting. He was 11-of-13 from the floor while converting a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity strip to lead the Pioneers with 26 points against NYIT. He followed with 14 points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes of play against Molloy.
Kohler helped the Pioneers to a 2-0 week; scoring into double figures in both games while shooting 66% from the floor. He posted 16 points and grabbed six rebounds against NYIT and then led all players with 19 points against Molloy. Kohler added four assists and a steal on the week.
The Pioneers will next host St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday at 7 p.m., before closing out their regular season schedule at Queens on Saturday at 7 p.m.
