Swimming Wraps Up Day One At ECAC Championships

PITTSBURGH (Feb. 26, 2010)
– The C.W. Post swimming team wrapped up its first day of competition at the ECAC Swimming Championships held at the University of Pittsburgh. 
The Pioneers are the only Division II program competing at the meet in the field of 18 largely represented by Division I programs. 
C.W. Post competed in the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 50 free on Friday.
Senior Morgan Feliccia (Arnold, Md.) swam the 50 free and finished 23rd overall out of 48 swimmers with a time of 25.15 seconds. Senior Dora Biocic (Zagreb, Croatia) placed 47 overall with a final time of 26.30 seconds.
In the 200 free relay, Biocic along with freshman Kristina Fritsch (Brooklyn, N.Y.), freshman Carly Marshall (Cornwall, N.Y.) and junior Sofi Mathsson (Stockholm, Sweden) took a 15th-place finish and clocked in at 1:42.77 to score four points.
The Pioneers return to the pool Saturday where they are slotted to swim in five events, including the 200 medley relay, 400 individual medley, 100 fly, 200 free and 100 breast.
