BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (March 12, 2010)- The C.W. Post women's lacrosse team has announced that they will participate in the Lax4Life initiative during their road games against St. Michael's College on March 20, and Bentley University on March 21.
Lax4Life is a series of games set up to support The Allyson Rose Green Memorial Foundation. The Foundation was created to increase awareness of adolescent suicides and help identify adolescents at risk. Allyson was the younger sister of West Chester goalkeeper Mary Beth Green. The women's lacrosse teams in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference started Lax 4 Life in 2009 and the effort has expanded to include NCAA Division II teams across the nation. Thirty-six teams have banned together to play 46 games and sell t-shirts as fundraisers for the cause.
