Women's Lacrosse Takes Third Place In Latest IWLCA Poll

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (March 16, 2010)- The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its latest poll, ranking the Pioneers in third place. The Pioneers drop to third place while Lock Haven University moved to second after pulling out a tough 11-10 win over No. 4 ranked Limestone College.
Adelphi University still remains on top of the poll, followed by Lock Haven and C.W. Post. Limestone remained in fourth place this week, followed by Mercyhurst College and West Chester University. Dowling College jumped to the number seven spot, knocking the University of New Haven to eighth place. Stonehill College and Gannon University round out the top ten.
C.W. Post has started off its season with a perfect 2-0 record, claiming victories over Southern New Hampshire University and Southern Connecticut State University.
The Pioneers are back in action Saturday, March 20, as they travel to St. Michael's College. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
