C.W. Post improves to 4-0 as the Pioneers hand Bentley its first defeat of the season, and the Falcons slip to 4-1.

The game was close in the first half, as sophomore Lauren Spagnoletta (West Islip, N.Y.) scored an unassisted tally at 29:30 to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead.  Ross doubled the lead at 28:37 with a solo score of her own.  But Taylor Bastien (North Kingstown, R.I.) scored at 24:25 off a Erica De Silva (Dartmouth, Mass.) feed, followed by a goal from Torre Taylor (Locust Valley, N.Y.) that tied the game 2-2.  The Pioneers pulled ahead on Olen's first goal of the day, but Bastien scored on a free position at 20:17 to tie things back up.

Leight Tedeschi (Duxbury, Mass.) took a pass from Megan Wiggins (Acton, Mass.) and scored to put the Falcons up 4-3 at 16:21. However, Olen scored on a free position to tie the game 4-4, and senior Brianne Jackolski (Shirley, N.Y.) scored an unassisted tally to put the Pioneers ahead, 5-4.   A Ross goal, assisted by Olen at 7:49, gave the Pioneers a 6-4 edge.  Alex Carney (Providence, R.I.) scored at 6:56 to make the score 6-5 Pioneers, but Spagnoletta scored to make it 7-5.  Wiggins and Rackolski traded goals and the score was 8-6 C.W. The second half was a completely different story as the C.W. Post defense clamped down and Bentley managed just one second-half goal.  Olen started the scoring with an unassisted score that made the score 10-6 at 21:45.  Senior midfielder Kim Williams (Long Valley, N.J.) scored on a Michelle Fucich (Seaford, N.Y.) assist that upped the score to 11-6. Olen and Williams scored aagain at 12:25 and 11:52 respectively, putting the score at 13-6 in favor of the visitors.

Two goals by Nan Mayott (Islip, N.Y.) increased the Pioneer advantage to 15-6, and another Ross goal on a Mayott assist rounded out the scored as Carney would score with :16 remaining in the game, and the Pioneers rolled to a 16-7 win.

In addition to Olen and Ross, the Pioneer offense was headed up by Spagnoletta, Mayott, Jackolski and Williams with two goals apiece.  Fucich and Staci Passafiume (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) each added an assist.

Junior goalkeeper Sam Powers (Holbrook, N.Y.) was solid between the pipes as she earned the win making two saves in the first 30 minutes of play.  Freshman Dominique Mosca (Merrick, N.Y.) made two saves in the second half of play to preserve the victory.
