Mosca, Ross Earn ECC Weekly Honors
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Mar 22, 2010)- The East Coast Conference released its weekly honors, naming C.W. Post freshman midfielder Abigail Ross (Miller Place, N.Y.) Rookie of the Week and freshman keeper Dominique Mosca (Merrick, N.Y.) Goalkeeper of the week.
Ross contributed five goals and two assists to help the C.W. Post Pioneers to a 3-0 week. She started off on Tuesday afternoon, tallying two assists in the Pioneers 20-3 triumph over Southern Connecticut, while adding one goal during an 18-6 win over St. Michael's College Saturday afternoon. Ross then led the Pioneers with a career high four goals, including three in the first half and one off a free position shot, during a 16-7 win over Bentley University Sunday afternoon.
Mosca ensured the Pioneers' three wins between the pipes. On Tuesday she posted three saves while allowing just two goals against in 30 minutes of play to push the Pioneers past Southern Connecticut. Mosca continued her solid play making four saves in the Pioneers win over St. Michael's. and helped her team to their third victory for the week, with two saves and allowing just one goal against Bentley University Sunday afternoon.
C.W. Post is back in action March 27th and 28th as they travel to Severna Park, Md. to take on Belmont Abbey College and Pfeiffer University
