Women's Lacrosse Maintains Third Place In Latest IWLCA Poll
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 30, 2010)– The C.W. Post women's lacrosse team remained the third ranked Division II team in this week's IWLCA coaches poll after going 2-0 over the weekend with wins over Belmont Abbey College and Pfeiffer University.
Adelphi University remained at the top of the poll receiving all 10 first place votes while Lock Haven held onto second place. The Pioneers were followed by Limestone College (4), Mercyhurst College (5), and Stonehill College (6). Westchester University dropped two spots to seventh place, followed by Dowling College. Previously unranked Gannon University broke into the poll in ninth place, while University of New Haven rounded out the top ten.
C.W. Post will take the road Wednesday, March 31, as the Pioneers travel to take on No. 10 New Haven at 3:30 p.m.
