Mosca Selected ECAC Defender Of The Week
CAPE COD, Mass. (April 13, 2010) – Freshman goalkeeper Dominique Mosca (Merrick, N.Y.) was selected as this week's ECAC C0-Defender of the Week after a 2-0 week against Molloy and Seton Hill.
Mosca shares this week's honor with Adelphi's Caitlin Fitzpatrick from Adelphi University.
Mosca earned her first two collegiate starts between the pipes as she ensured a 2-0 week for C.W. Post. On Wednesday afternoon, Mosca made ten saves while allowing just three goals against during just over 46 minutes of play to ensure a 20-5 win over Molloy College. Mosca's strong performance continued as she blocked five shots and allowed a mere two goals against during 41 minutes in net to lead the Pioneers to a 20-3 victory over Seton Hill.
C.W. Post (9-0, 2-0 ECC) returns to action on Wednesday at Queens College at 3:30 p.m.
