Baseball Drops 6-5 Contest to Queens
FLUSHING, N.Y. (April 6, 2010) - The C.W. Post baseball team dropped a tough loss to the Queens College Knights in the ninth inning, 6-5, on Tuesday afternoon, in East Coast Conference baseball action.
The Pioneers slip to 14-9-1, 12-4 in th ECC, while Queens improves to 10-18, 5-11 in conference.
Zack Gracyk (Carmel, N.Y.) took the loss for the Pioneers in relief of starter Pete Budkevics (Deer Park, N.Y), as Graczyk threw 2.2 innings and gave up four runs on four hits, striking out one.
The Pioneers held a 5-2 lead heading into the ninth inning, before surrendering four runs in the ninth inning to drop the contest to the Knights.
The Pioneers will continue their schedule as they take on Queens on Friday in a home contest starting at 3:30.
