GETTYSBURG, Pa. (May 24, 2010) - C.W. Post's Kaurey Foley (Mohegan Lake, N.Y.) was honored at the NCAA Championship banquet on Friday, May 21 in Gettysburg, Pa., with the Elite 88 award. The Elite 88 is an award where the NCAA recognizes the student-athlete with the highest grade-point average, who is participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 88 championships. This is a student-athlete from each division and each sport that reaches the finals and also achieves the highest academic standard.

The senior defender is a business management major with a GPA of a 3.97. A four-year player on both the women's lacrosse and field hockey teams, she was a standout student-athlete both on the field and in the classroom.  She helped the 2007 women's lacrosse team to a National Championship, and was a starter and integral part of this year's team, which advanced to its fourth straight NCAA Final Four appearance.
