LOS ANGELES (Sept 5, 2010)  – The Los Angeles Dodgers recently announced the August winners of the Dodger Pride Awards, and C.W. Post product Pete Budkevics '10 was named the Rookie-advanced Pitcher of the Month for August.

Budkevics went 4-0 with a 3.09 ERA (8 ER/23.1 IP) in five August games (four starts). The 22-year-old has been at his best in high-pressure situations this season, limiting opponents to a .141 average (10-for-71) with runners on base and a .149 average (7-for-47) with runners in scoring position.  Overall, Budkevics is 4-0 with a 2.43 ERA in 11 games (four starts) for the Raptors after signing as a non-drafted free agent on June 21.

The Dodger Pride Awards were created in 2008 by General Manager Ned Colletti, and are given on a monthly basis to the players at each level of the club's minor league system who play the game with a hustling, smart, aggressive style. The players and staff on each respective club vote for the awards.
