Tamara Garriock Earns Two More Individual Wins For Swimming Despite Loss to Fordham, 121-57

BRONX, N.Y. (January 21, 2011) – C.W. Post managed three first places this evening in a dual-meet with the Fordham Rams. However, the Fordham Rams were able to accumulate more points through all events to take a victory, 121-57.
Freshman
Tamara Garriock (Duncan, Canada) came up with two of the Pioneers three first place victories against the Rams. Garriock took first place during the 200 Individual Medley, outpacing her opponents with a time of 2:09.18. She then repeated with victory during her next event, the 500 Free. The freshman touched the wall at 5:10.47 to earn the win.
The other Pioneer victory was taken by #
Chelcee Hew# (Savage, Minn.) during the 200 Breaststroke. She completed the 200 event with a time of 2:29.56. The last relay event on the night was counted as an exhibition; therefore no points were awarded for any place finishes.
Next meet will be next Saturday, January 28, in Connecticut. The Pioneers will travel to Bridgeport for a 1 p.m. dual-meet.
