Women's Swimming Competes at ECAC
PITTSBURGH, PA. (February 26, 2011) – The Pioneer women's swimming team competed at the ECAC event yesterday, with two relay teams participating. The event continues today at the University of Pittsburgh.
Iria Ruiperez (Madrid, Spain), Chelcee Hew (Savage, Minn.), Kristina Fristch (Brooklyn, N.Y.), and Sandra Kirstein (Hollviken, Sweden) finished 13th out 16 school in the 200 Free Relay to earn eight points with a time of 1:39.83.
Kirstein, Hew, Ruiperez then teamed with Sandra Ann Luiga (Jarfalla, Sweden) in the 400 Medley Relay to earn 14th place and six points in a time of 4:07.84.
Combined, the Pioneers have earned 14 points and currently sit in 17th place entering today's competition.
