Hudson's Stellar Performance Not Enough as Baseball Falls 5-0 to Saint Michael's
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (March 15, 2010) – Junior pitcher
Glen Hudson (West Sayville, N.Y.) struck out a career-high 14 batters, but the Pioneers could not generate any offense to support Hudson as C.W. Post baseball fell to Saint Michael's, 5-0, on Tuesday afternoon in Lantana, Fla.
C.W. Post slides to 1-12 on the season.
Saint Michael's would score all the runs they would need in the fourth, as Alec Tice scored on an RBI single to right center by Collin Fishman. A two-out triple and an error in the ninth would add four more runs to the scoreboard for Saint Michael's.
SMC starter Andrew Duprat held the Pioneers hitless through five innings, before two infield singles final broke up the no-no. Sophomore second baseman
Casey McKay (Massapequa, N.Y.) had two of the Pioneers four hits on the afternoon.
The Pioneers continue action at the Palm Beach Challenge tomorrow at 4 p.m. as they take on Adelphi.
