Eight Women's Lacrosse Players Named To USA College Lacrosse All-America Teams
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (May 10, 2011) - The 2011 USACollegeLacrosse.com NCAA Division II Women's All-American Teams are available were released this morning, and eight women's lacrosse players earned spots on the squads, led by First Team honorees senior attacker Michelle Fucich (Seaford, N.Y.), sophomore attacker Abigail Ross (Miller Place, N.Y.), junior midfielder Lauren Spagnoletta (West Islip, N.Y.) and junior defender Chelsea Donaldson (Bay Shore, N.Y.).
Nan Mayott (Islip, N.Y.), junior midfielder Brie-Claire Drost (Wading River, N.Y.) and sophomore goalkeeper Dominique Mosca (Merrick, N.Y.) earned Second Team distinction, and freshman attacker Jackie Sileo (Wantagh, N.Y.) was named to the All-Rookie Squad.
Freshmen were eligible only for the Rookie All-American Team while all players chosen to the first, second, third and honorable mention squads are invited to participate in the Inaugural USA College Lacrosse Senior Women's All-Star Games & Underclass All-American Showcase that will take place on Saturday, June 4, in East Brunswick, NJ.
