IWLCA Names Three to All-America Teams
BALTIMORE, Md. (May 27, 2011) - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has honored five women's lacrosse players from C.W. Post with a selection to the association's All-American teams. Junior
Lauren Spagnoletta (West Islip, N.Y.) earned First Team honors, while freshman
Jackie Sileo (Wantagh, N.Y.) and junior
Chelsea Donaldson (Bay Shore, N.Y.) earned Second Team kudos.
The IWLCA will honor the national All-Americans at an awards banquet on June 11, 2011 in King of Prussia, Pa.
Spagnoletta earns her first All-America citation after putting up standout numbers with a team-high 62 goals and 11 assists for 73 total points. She won 40 draw controls and picked up 24 ground balls.
Donaldson earns her second All-America award, and again put up standout defensive numbers, picking up 38 ground balls and causing a team-high 21 turnovers.
Sileo had a sensational rookie season, leading the team with 101 points and dishing out 67 assists. She also scored 34 goals, good for third on the team, while picking up 32 ground balls and winning 21 draw controls.
