Sileo Earns ECAC Rookie of the Year Award
CENTERVILLE, Mass. (Aug. 24, 2011) - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Tuesday announced its Division II Women's Lacrosse All-Star Team, and C.W. Post freshman
Jackie Sileo (Wantagh, N.Y.) was named the 2011 ECAC Rookie of the Year.
Sileo, an attacker, had an impressive debut season for the Pioneers. She made both IWLCA All-America and Synapse Sports All-America, both on the second unit. In addition, Sileo was named to the rookie all-star squads for Synapse Sports and USACollegeLacrosse.com All-America. The East Coast Conference Rookie of the Year, who was a first-team all-conference performer, had one of the best freshman seasons in program history. She started in all 17 games, leading the Pioneers in points with 117. She registered 67 assists for third nationally. She also won 21 draw controls and picked up 32 ground balls
