Hurricane Sandy Forces Schedule Changes For Soccer, Swimming, Volleyball And Football
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 31, 2012) - Due to the effects Hurricane Sandy have forced changes to be made for this week's men's and women's soccer, swimming, volleyball and football contests.
LIU Post will not be able to host its men's and women's soccer games, which have now be played at Dowling College on Friday. On the women's side, No. 1 LIU Post will play No. 4 Dowling at 12 p.m. The men's game featuring No. 1 LIU Post and No. 4 Mercy will follow at 2:30 p.m.
The LIU Post women's swimming meets originally scheduled against Queens College on Wednesday and Sacred Heart University have also been postponed with no make-up date scheduled.
The women's volleyball match scheduled away at Queens College Thursday evening has also been postponed. No make-up date has been announced.
LIU Post football's away game at Kutztown University originally scheduled for Saturday has been postponed as well with a Nov. 17 make-up date.
