Women's Cross Country Named an All-Academic Team By USTFCCCA
NEW ORLEANS, LA. (Feb. 16, 2012) – After the men's team earned recognition on Tuesday, the C.W. Post women's cross country squad has been named a USTFCCCA All-Academic team.
The women's team managed to put together a group GPA of 3.36 to earn a spot on the 2011 list. The Pioneers were one of 124 teams across the nation to earn the All-Academic team title.
To be named a part of the list, a cross country team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have earned a NCAA Regional Championships team score.
During the fall season, the women's team had three runners finish inside the top 100 at the NCAA Regional in Boston, Mass.
Jennifer McLaughlin (Seaford, N.Y.) finished first with a 71
st place finish in a time of 25:02.8.
