Women's Swimming Finishes Day Two at the ECAC Championships
ANNAPOLIS, MD. (Feb. 25, 2012) – The C.W. Post swimming team continued competition at the ECAC Championships on Saturday, day two of the championships.
The finals opened up with the 200 medley relay, as the Pioneer team in the event took second place.
Johanna Pettersson (Kunglav, Sweden),
Tamara Garriock (Duncan, Canada),
Cornelia Hanes (Stockholm, Sweden), and
Mairi Morrison (Carnock, Scotland) teamed to earn a 1:44.86 time.
In the 100 fly, Hanes earned a third place time during the event. Her finishing time was 56.63, taking part in the first and only individual finals event for the Pioneers on Saturday.
After day two of competition, the Pioneers have accumulated 147.5 points, landing the squad in eighth place. The Naval Academy has jumped into first place with 413 points, and Harvard totals 390 for second place at the moment.
