MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (Feb. 27, 2012) – The C.W. Post baseball team finished its weekend trip with a win and two losses at the Ripken Experience, defeating Concordia, 4-3, but dropping close contests to Felician, 6-4, and Chestnut Hill, 6-5.
The Pioneers now stand at 3-2 on the season as they return to N.Y. and prepare to host Stonehill in a doubleheader on Sunday, March 5 at 12 noon.
Against Felician, the Pioneers took a 4-0 lead into the seventh inning, but three runs by the Golden Eagles in the seventh and three more in the eighth completed the comeback and downed the Pioneers, despite a strong effort on the mound by starter

Matt Simone (West Islip, N.Y.) led the way going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
The Pioneers rebounded against Concordia with a strong relief effort on the mound by
Kevin Chenicek (Levittown, N.Y.), who worked 5.1 innings of relief to earn the victory, allowing one run on four hits, striking out five. The Pioneers scored early but Concordia responded and a run in the top of the ninth was the difference-maker as the Pioneers pushed across the game winner on an RBI single by

A tough loss to Chestnut Hill on Sunday morning wrapped up the weekend for the Pioneers, as
